Lady Gaga owned 2009, and when Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (real name) first released her debut album "The Fame" in 2008, I wrote that the album was the strongest pop/dance release from a female artist that year. Since then, she has become an omnipotent force in the music world. When Beyonce and Madonna duet with an artist who hasn't even clocked 2 years of active duty on the charts, you know she's big! Madonna even did a guest spot in a skit with Lady on SNL. As much as I loved her debut CD, I didn't think there was any way she could top "Poker Face" and "Love Game"...I was wrong! From the first time I heard the intro to "Bad Romance" I was hooked (again). Then I checked out the video..Oh..My..God!Granted, I can understand why some people just can't figure her out, but who needs to? It's enough to just feel the music-and enjoy it. "Bad Romance" is one of those songs that make you want to dance as if no one is watching-dancing wild, crazy, and most of all-having fun!
Lady Gaga is now a trendsetter; her music has an individual signature/stamp, and this lady can really sing and write great songs. Proof of that was her live performance a little while ago on The Ellen Show when she sang "Speechless". The song was written as a message to her father who was going through medical problems at the time, and also carries the message of how young people should appreciate their parents more (see-she's deeper than some people give her credit for). As far as the other songs, "Alejandro" is a 100% perfect blend of ABBA and Madonna, "Monster" is pop perfection and next to "Bad Romance", "Dance In The Dark" has the potential to be the biggest hit off this CD, with it's synth nod to 1980's New Wave. In the song she takes a note from Madonna's musical dictionary and name drops Marilyn Munroe, Judy Garland, Liberace and more. This part of the song sounds so much like Madonna that it's scary. The song "Telephone" is currently making its way up the charts but even with Beyonce as duet partner, it's Lady Gaga who makes the connection complete. The remaining 2 tracks, "I'm So Happy I Could Die" and "Teeth" are hot tracks as well, but "Teeth" stands out more with its sassy old school rhythm and blues/smoky old jazz club flavour. Nice touch! The buyer also has a choice of 2 different CD covers as well.
To wrap things up, I love Lady Gaga and her second CD is even better than her first-and that's a big accomplishment. Christina Aguilera-pack your bags; Britney-put your clothes back on and take notes! There's a hotter lady in town and she's taking the crown as the Queen of Pop Music.

I love this CD! It's on constantly in my car! It has all of her great singles as well as some new songs that haven't been released - great value as it is a 2 CD package!

Words can't describe how bad this is, but I'm sure you already know. It's going to be hilarious in a couple or few years, when this idiot's 15 minutes of fame are up, watching her get more and more desperate trying to cling to fame. Cause if she's this desperate now, just imagine what she'll be like when you stop paying attention.

The new songs are TO DIE FOR! However, be warned: the disc seems to be censored. And, in my opinion, this takes away from a few songs.
