GLEE, from Ryan Murphy (creator of Nip/Tuck) is an uplifting comedy musical series with biting humor that features a soundtrack of hit music from past to present. The show follows an optimistic high school teacher as he tries to refuel his own passion for singing while reinventing the school's glee club and challenging a group of ragtag performers to realize their star potential. Each episode of the series features an eclectic selection of hits from genres spanning pop, R&B, hip-hop, country, Broadway and rock and roll, reinterpreted through the lens of Murphy's modern sensibility and razorsharp wit.

Although the show is too much of a teen-age soap opera to appeal to the average 63 year old male, most of the music is from the baby-boomer era and all of it is very well arranged and performed. I truly enjoyed listening to my son's Christmas present.

I've had this soundtrack on repeat since the day it came out. A great selection of songs is made even better by the outstanding vocal talents of the Glee cast. Songs from Kristen Chenowith's guest appearance are included. A must have for any fan.

This CD is so infectious!!!! You can't listen to it without wanting to sing along. The vocals are amazing. These people are great singers who deliver the songs with passion and heart. Can't wait for volume 2 to be released next month. I'll be buying that one too!!! Buy it and you won't be able to stop listening to it!!!! Better than bright coloured candy and twice as addictive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since getting this over a week ago I haven't listened to anything else while in my car. I force my friends to listen to me terrible singing. Something about this show and these songs have the ability to make me happy in a way I never knew possible. I highly recomend this to everyone!!!
